Do you have a valid UK driving licence and a B&E Car and Trailer Qualification ? If so, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Driver for our prestigious client based in Kettering.
This position is permanent, working 37.5hrs hour per week.

As a Warehouse Driver, you are expected to be involved in the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse & distribution function.

The main purpose of this role is to support the department in achieving its commitments by means of making accurate, efficient, well ordered deliveries and undertake collections of excess stock as and when prescribed.

On occasion it may be necessary to undertake work within the warehouse as well as or instead of driving duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

General Duties

To always work in accordance with the company’s health and safety policy.
To consider the health and safety of others when undertaking all duties
To actively & positively participate in team meetings
From time to time to undertake, or assist with, duties normally assigned to others that the postholder is reasonably trained / qualified to undertake.

Specific Duties.

To undertake periodic (daily / weekly / monthly) drivers checks on the vehicle that you are using prior to use, and to report any faults found or concerns that may arise to a manager immediately.
To undertake checks on trailers and other equipment both prior to use and upon return to the depot and report any faults found or concerns that may arise to their line manager immediately.
To maintain your vehicle in a clean and tidy condition also ensuring it has fuel oil and water, thus being ready to drive at all times.
To deliver materials to building sites, and other locations as required.
To collect materials belonging to IGL from building sites as directed.
To make collections from IGL suppliers and others as directed.
To undertake the loading and unloading of vehicles
To report, to the Management team sites which the driver suspects carry excess IGL stock.
To keep accurate records of deliveries and collections and ensure all documentation is submitted to the office in a timely manner.
To communicate any issues or problems on site to the Management team by telephone prior to leaving site
To drive safely and follow the laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
To carry out other duties as may be required from time to time

Essential Qualifications

A current full driving licence.

A B&E Car and Trailer Qualification
