School Business Manager – Chief Financial Officer

The School Business Manager/Chief Financial Officer position is offered on a part time, term time only basis, 24 hours per week across 3, 4 or 5 days.

You will be working within an Ofsted rated Outstanding school and key responsibilities will include:

As part of the senior leadership team, providing strategic business expertise to support the school's ongoing development.
Financial planning.
Leading the preparation of the annual budget.
Monitoring income and expenditure, providing accurate forecasting.
Preparing and submitting statutory returns and funding claims.
Coordinating year-end financial processes and liaising with auditors.
Identifying opportunities to maximise income and secure additional funding.
Leading procurement activity and contract management.
Maintaining accurate financial records including banking arrangements and financial policies.
HR & Personnel tasks – liaising with the external HR provider and Headteacher regarding employment matters, workforce planning and recruitment.

You should have strong financial management and business experience across any sector, think strategically, be a pro-active problem solver who enjoys improving systems and processes. You will have excellent communication and relationship building skills and demonstrate integrity and professionalism.
