An experienced Sales Account Handler is required to join our clients fast paced, growing business in Corby.
Main purpose of the role
The account handler is responsible for handling the day to day running of your allocated customer accounts. The role requires a focused approach with attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a calm and professional demeaner. The key is to nurture and develop healthy relationships with our customers as well as handling any projects, queries, or any issues that might arise.
You will have regular communication with your customers always providing support, assistance and building long term, trusting business relationships.
Keys Duties and Accountabilities (will include but not limited to)
Manage the day to day running of customer accounts in a busy office environment.
Process sale orders from customers, reps, and website with accuracy and in a timely manner sending acknowledgements by return.
Keep customers informed regarding the status of all existing orders on a weekly basis providing weekly ETA's
Answer incoming phone calls and emails in a polite and professional manner.
Manage individual stock quantities between orders.
Contribute towards the daily pick target.
Pick orders daily, always ensuring you are operating within your customers credit limit, releasing orders in the system through to transport in accordance with cut-off dates.
Respond to requests from reps and customers in a timely manner.
Working with accounts department to clear through any invoicing queries that arise.
Carry out housekeeping against your customers order books, ensuring any container dates that have slipped have been communicated and managed with your customer.
Review on a weekly basis the fully allocated report, chasing your customer to take delivery of any orders that have been allocated for over 30 days.
Key Experience and Qualifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook knowledge
Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
Previous experience of using a ticketing system is advantageous.
Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
