A Purchasing Manager is required to join FMCG company on the outskirts of Leeds. A salary circa £30,000 is offered along with free parking, a wellness programme, pension scheme and ongoing training and support is offered along with a friendly and pleasant working environment.
If you already have experience in a purchasing role and you are looking to develop yourself further then this would be the ideal opportunity for you. In this role you will be taking full responsibility for the day to day purchasing needs of the whole business and the control over stock and inventor and your duties will include:-
Control of stock items with regards to use by dates and stock rotation.
Management of all product stock levels to ensure the fulfilment of all customer orders.
Sourcing and purchasing of all product SKU’s.
Overseeing physical stock counts and reporting of stock losses/gains.
Responsible for identifying opportunities to reduce cost prices and improve margin.
Maintain good working relationships and partnerships with all suppliers. This will include SLA’s & SOG’s that fit the needs of the business.
Production of purchasing forecasts for both internal and supplier needs.
Maintain up to date cost prices within both the financial systems and SOP system.
Multiple variations of stock and forecasting control.
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills:-
Experience in a similar role
Experience of using financial and stock management systems, preferably Sage Financials.
Excellent MS Excel skills (Lookups, Pivot tables, Data manipulation, charts, macros).
Good all round IT skills
Experience of working to KPI’s
