We are delighted to be working, on an exclusive basis, with a prestigious Northampton based SME manufacturing client. The company is currently going through an enviable period of growth and this is an exciting time to join the team.

This is a hands-on, varied Financial Controller position reporting to the Managing Director and with 2 direct reports.

Key duties include:

Mentoring, training and leading a small team.
Preparation of monthly management accounts.
Providing P&L and balance sheet analysis against budget.
Preparation of month end journals.
Maintaining the fixed asset register.
Assisting with year end accounts.
Preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
Budgets and forecasts.
Internal audits for both UK and US

You should be a part or fully qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA Accountant with previous SME sector experience and ideally within manufacturing, although not essential. You will have excellent communication and organisation skills and be IT literate - Xero would be an advantage.

This role is situated close to the M1 and so is within commuting distance of places such as Milton Keynes, Rugby and Leicester.
