Financial Accountant

Our client, a charitable trust, is looking for a qualified Financial Accountant to join their growing team.

This role offers hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 working from home and you will oversee the central finance function for the company.

Key tasks will include:

Preparation of annual statutory accounts and subsequent government financial returns.
Preparation of monthly financial reporting and presenting to board.
Management of the groups cash flow.
Filing of all financial accounting returns within deadlines.
Supporting the Head of Finance in ensuring the team has strong oversight and controls in place both centrally and regionally.
Ensuring that robust controls and processes are adhered to.
Completing the annual tax return.
Working with regional hubs to ensure that balance sheet reconciliations are up to date.
Supporting, mentoring and training both central finance colleagues and regional hubs.

You will be a fully qualified Accountant with at least 5 years relevant experience.  You should be able to manage your own personal development in line with your career goals – progression is offered.  You will have proven experience in building relationships with internal/external stakeholders, have excellent planning and organisational skills and be committed to the company values and ethics.
