Our client, an award-winning business, is looking for an experienced Accounts/Finance Team Leader to join their company.

Study support and one day per week working from home are offered with this role.

You will be driving team performance ensuring professional standards are delivered and working closely with multiple clients.

The role comprises of:

Team Leadership:

Effective day to day leadership of a small team.
Proactively supporting the team's learning and development.
Managing and recording the performance of team members through setting objectives and one to one meetings.
Effective management of absence and performance issues.
Conducting team meetings to update the team on best practices.
Assisting the Director with the recruitment process and new employee training.

Accounting Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping for multiple clients ensuring that deadlines are met.
VAT Returns.
Balance sheet analysis.
Offering effective financial advice to clients relating to systems and processes.
Occasional visits to client sites for reviews and updates.
Checking payroll and pension information.
Liaising with auditors and HMRC as required.

You should have previous team supervisory experience, excellent accounting skills, ability to manage multiple clients, be organised with strong communication and negotiation skills.
