An Independent education provider on the outskirts of Wakefield have an opportunity for a full time Administration Assistant to join their team. A salary of £21,575 is offered along with 35 days’ holiday (including bank holidays) and an excellent benefits package. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check which will be paid for by the employer.
In this role you will be assisting with the effective running of the school office and ensuring that the school develops and maintains positive relationships with staff, pupils and visitors. Your day to day duties will include:-
Welcome visitors and deliveries, inform appropriate staff and ensure visitors sign in and out of school
Undertake receptionist duties - answer the telephone, respond to enquiries and pass appropriate messages/information to staff.
Review and Report typing, checking and issuing, ensuring timescales are met
Distribution of incoming and outgoing mail.
Ensure filing, pupil records and databases are up to date.
Prepare files, print and issue Care and Education Plans.
Co-ordinate the distribution and ordering of consumables / stationery.
Previous administrative experience is essential.
At least GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
Experience of dealing with issues of a confidential nature.
Excellent communication skills via the telephone and face to face.
Experience of taking and writing minutes would be desirable.
Competent in the use of Microsoft packages, e.g. Word, Excel and Email.
