An experienced Accounts Assistant is required to join our client’s growing, fast paced SME business in Wellingborough.
AAT study support is offered with this role, if required and also some flexibility with working hours.
You will be working as part of a small team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager and focussing on the purchase ledger side of accounts. As well as supporting the team in sales ledger and month end accounts when required.
Tasks include:
Processing of all invoices and credits, matching to POs and identifying / resolving queries.
Tracking costs against budget, providing senior management with monthly reporting packs.
Reconciling supplier statements.
Generating weekly payment runs for MD approval, processing within Sage / Bankline.
Generating and sending supplier remittances.
Managing the company's credit card administration, including obtaining invoices / receipts and checking for VAT compliance.
Maintain filing of finance paperwork.
Ensuring company vehicles MOT/TAX are up to date making payments as necessary.
You should have at least 3 years previous accounting experience, be IT literate with excellent attention to detail. You will be a strong team player who is positive and pro-active.
